SPEEDWAY SHOW

So to tell you a little bit about ourselves. Speedway Show is the UK’s Number 1 Speedway Presentation Team consisting of Ex Speedway Rider Chris Simpson and his brother Richard Simpson.Chris trained at Kings Lynn from the age of 21, a late starter to the sport with the likes of Paul Lee, David Howe and John Wilson.

He rode for the Isle of Wight in their inaugural season in the conference league alongside Martin Willis, Justin Elkins, Barry Bishop, Paul Oughton, Geoff Batt and then memory fails lol.Chris still remains a Stoke asset and has appeared for Isle of Wight, Long Eaton, Buxton, Sittingbourne, Belle Vue, Coventry (Junior Team) aswell as appearances in the Southern Track Riders at both Intermediate and Open Level, winning the Open Championship many years ago at Kings Lynn.

Chris retired professionally from the sport in 1997 after breaking 3 collarbones in quick succession at Buxton, Wolves and Kings Lynn and turned his hand towards Sponsorship Management assisting Shaun Tacey and Andy Smith during his period within the SGP.

Chris also worked nationwide in the entertainment business, dj’ing and fronting a very popular cabaret show.Approx 10 years ago Chris put a package together for Coventry Speedway including race jingles, rider songs and a after meeting disco which has continued from then onwards.

Many other tracks have often imitated but never fully achieved the hugely professional show which now forms an integral part of both the Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup Presentation where both Chris and Richard work closely with BSI Speedway and IMG.

Speedway Show currently present at Coventry Speedway on Friday Nights, provides Centre Green & Presentation at Birmingham Speedway on a Wednesday Night alongside their involvement with the Speedway Grand Prix’s and World Cup Events.

Speedway Shows aim is to entertain everyone from aged 1 to 101 at the events it presents at, 15 heats of 60 secs of racing leave a lot of time to fill in a sometimes 3 – 4 hour meeting. This is where their experience comes into play and turns each race meeting into a Showtime Extravaganza !!
